Calculation of Percentage Decrease

To calculate the decrease of a value by a certain percentage, the following formula is used:

Result = Initial Value - (Initial Value × Percentage ÷ 100)

Example:

$ 100 after a 20 % decrease is then, the value: $ 100 - ($ 100 × 20 ÷ 100) = $ 80
50 people after a 30 % decrease is then, the value: 50 - (50 × 30 ÷ 100) = 35 people
